Helvetia Farm Market

A Pacific Northwest Gem Where Community Gathers

When you arrive at Helvetia Farm Market, you're stepping into something special. This isn't just another place to pick up groceries. It's where rolling hills meet genuine hospitality, where families spread blankets for impromptu picnics, and where the simple act of shopping for dinner becomes an experience worth savoring. The moment you walk through the doors of the farm store, you'll understand why people keep coming back, why they bring their visiting family members here without fail, and why this spot has become a cherished gathering place for the community.

Fresh Local Produce and Pasture Raised Meats

Everything you'll find here comes from the Pacific Northwest, and that commitment to local sourcing makes all the difference. The meat selection tells a story of care and intention. These animals spend their days on fresh pasture, moved daily to new plots of green grass where they can forage naturally. You'll find chicken, beef, pork, turkey, and salmon, all raised with practices that honor how food should be grown. When you take these products home, you'll notice the difference immediately. The quality speaks for itself, and while you might spend a bit more than at a conventional grocery store, you're investing in food that nourishes your family the way it should. The produce section offers seasonal fruits and vegetables from nearby farms, giving you access to the best of what our region produces throughout the year.

What To Expect From The Staff at Helvetia Farm Market

The team here makes every visit welcoming. They know their products inside and out because they genuinely care about what they're offering you. When you have questions about where something comes from or how it was raised, they'll walk you through the details with enthusiasm. They understand that choosing pasture raised, organic, and locally sourced food matters to you, and they're ready to help you make informed decisions. The staff creates an atmosphere where you feel valued, not rushed. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or selecting meat for the week, you'll experience genuine friendliness that makes shopping here feel less like a chore and more like visiting neighbors who happen to have exactly what you need.

The Espresso Bar and Artisan Offerings

The coffee bar alone is worth the trip. You can order anything from a perfectly crafted espresso to a chai tea or steamer, and the quality rivals any specialty coffee shop in Portland. The baristas take pride in what they serve, and it shows in every cup. Pair your drink with a cinnamon roll or explore the selection of artisan bread and charcuterie. You'll also discover locally crafted beer and wine, giving you the perfect opportunity to enjoy a glass while taking in the scenery. The market carries handcrafted goods, fresh flowers that bloom with seasonal beauty, and a variety of grocery items that round out your shopping experience. Everything feels thoughtfully curated, from the smallest item to the largest purchase.

A Family Friendly Destination in Hillsboro

This is the kind of place where children can be children. Kids run across the lawn kicking balls around while parents sip coffee and actually relax. The chickens wandering the property delight young visitors, and spotting the cows becomes a highlight of the trip. You can throw down a blanket and settle in for as long as you'd like, watching the hills roll into the distance while your little ones explore safely. Families have been bringing their children here for years, creating traditions and memories in this welcoming space. The atmosphere invites people from all walks of life to simply be present, to slow down, and to enjoy what matters. You'll see young couples on dates, groups of friends catching up, parents with strollers, and everyone in between, all coexisting peacefully in this joyful environment.

Supporting Local Farmers and Sustainable Practices

Behind Helvetia Farm Market stands Marion Acres, a farm built on partnership and vision. The founders started with a simple goal of feeding their families honest food, and that mission expanded into something that now serves the entire community. They raise their animals on pasture without pesticides, moving them daily so they can eat bugs and fresh grass exactly as nature intended. The chickens and turkeys are processed right on site with care and attention to quality. When you shop here, you're supporting a food system that values animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and seasonal eating. You're also helping sustain other local farms and food producers who share these values, creating a network of responsible agriculture throughout our region.

Seasonal Markets and Year Round Community Events

Throughout the year, the market hosts special events that bring the community together even more intentionally. Seasonal markets celebrate different times of year with expanded offerings and festive atmospheres. The cider selection changes with the seasons, always featuring excellent local options. These gatherings transform an already special place into something even more memorable, giving you reasons to return again and again. Whether you're a longtime regular or visiting for the first time, you'll find yourself planning your next trip before you've even left. This is what supporting local looks like when it's done right, and it feels good in every possible way.

What your neighbors say

Helvetia Farm Market is such a happy place to be. It was my first time there and I absolutely loved it! The farm store welcomes you with anything your heart could desire from fresh produce, artisanal goods, coffee tea and even wine. My partner and I came for a quick visit and ended up staying for an impromptu picnic overlooking the beautiful rolling hills - he with a chai tea in hand while I sipped on a delicious Savignon Blanc. Flowers are still in full bloom, joyful chickens run about and everyone is in good spirits at this little gem! There were people there with their young kids playing along with people from all walks of life. This is the kind of place anyone can hang out at for a nice day out of the house, and most importantly a great way to support your local farmers and small business owners!

Helvetia Market is one of my favorite places to go in the area and has been for a few years now. I love to bring my little kids with me so that they can look for the chickens or cows, run around in the lawn kicking around a ball and to get a chocolate milk or steamer and a cinnamon roll. I've been bringing them since they were babies and it's been a great spot to go and grab a coffee, throw a blanket down and enjoy the outdoors with friends. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. We love the markets they'll host for different times of the year and I love that they always have great cider options available as well. We bring all of our family from out of town here when they visit and it's become somewhere they look forward to coming to every time they're in town. Highly recommend!

Helvetia Farm is a heavenly place to spend an afternoon. This is a true farm-to-table market with local products. Enjoy a cup of coffee from their cafe on the massive porch or browse the market for seasonal goodies. You never know what you might find... fresh veggies, handmade soap, a delicious treat, or ingredients to try out a new recipe at home. Sometimes there is a food truck on site. You can also participate in one of their many events throughout the year, like pick your own bouquet or a s'mores cookout. They have a newsletter if you want a digital headsup on their events. The location is just outside the city but feels like you are a million miles away. Take in the beautiful scenery farm animals, and fresh air. It is the perfect place to escape for a few hours.
